The data displayed in this visualiser comes from WikiTree’s weekly public data dump, which contains user-contributed family tree information.
The data includes only births, and only those births from public WikiTree records.
Currently only England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland & Eire/Ireland births are included but we are expanding.
Each birth record has been processed through a mapping system that translates the original WikiTree locations to modern boundaries.
Because of this, some historical regions have been aligned with their nearest modern administrative equivalents, so the numbers on the map may not precisely match older locations.
